I enjoy helping people tap into their courage- the courage to be vulnerable, to make a change, to discover and rediscover parts of themselves.
As a therapist, I strive to offer a supportive, non-judgmental setting for building awareness, creating meaning, and cultivating self-acceptance, as well as sharing helpful tools for coping and making changes in the short-term. I have worked with people experiencing a variety of life’s challenges, including depression, anxiety, disordered eating, and returning home from jail or prison.
Before joining Cedar Avenue Psychotherapy, I provided care in partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs through Western Psychiatric Hospital. I am completing a two-year Gestalt Therapy training program for professionals with the Gestalt Institute of Pittsburgh. I earned my Master of Social Work at University of Pittsburgh.
Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked in local and regional nonprofits addressing food insecurity. I was inspired to pursue a career in psychotherapy while managing a culinary training program for folks returning home from prison.
I am excited to co-create a space where we can get to work.
